Our first car show vehicle is here:

This 1985 Chevy Suburban was rescused off a used car dealership bargin lot five years ago. The owner, Holli Johnson, took it home, tuned up the motor, and has been cruising with the family ever since. This half-ton, two-wheel-drive version is a smooth rider with the low-profile 15" tires giving it just the right stance. Flowmaster mufflers and true dual exhaust were added to give it just the right sound when on the gas.

The rest of the drivetrain is factory original with a 350 small block with a four barrel carb and a 700R overdrive tranny. The only thing missing was the optional third seat, but that will soon be remedied. A 2000 Tahoe was kind enough to donate its third row seats. They are actually two seperate buckets that can mount right next to each other to make a small bench. These will hopefully be installed over the winter when the Suburban is in storage.

WIth school back in session and the car show season winding down, stay tuned for weekly updates on our show as well as the last big shoes of the season.

Shifting gears and burning rubber,
